Upper Moreton Rural Activities is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company providing a variety of therapeutic and subject learning courses to support well-being, independence, and community and family learning in a safe, non-judgmental environment.

Courses include English, maths, digital learning, and progression courses in animal care, woodworking, volunteering and workplace readiness. We support learners from Stafford, Tamworth, Cannock and Lichfield areas.

Animal care courses provide practical learning skills with a range of animals, giving learners an opportunity for hands-on learning. We build our courses on learners’ requests with English, maths and digital learning centred around everyday life experiences and needs, making learning user-friendly. Learners can choose, learn and succeed in a beautiful rural setting.

Along with our volunteering programme, we have strong links with external organisations that offer broader skills development – to include volunteering and work experience in a meaningful work environment, supporting all individuals regardless of their needs or circumstances.

Our primary objectives are to support each learner by providing taster sessions, travel assistance and individual support to ensure that learning is enjoyable and achievable. In a welcoming and inclusive learning environment, learners will develop new skills and build confidence to improve and better their lives.
