The Family Learning Festival inspires a love of learning in family life. It takes place in October and is the biggest festival celebrating and valuing learning as a family.

Organisations of all types and sizes from schools and children centres, through libraries to museums and galleries put on brilliant and creative events, and showcase ideas and learning opportunities that families can do afterwards.

The overarching theme for this year is ‘Future Families”.  The theme includes:​

Digital discoverers – how to stay safe online and get the most out of technology – from surfing the internet to creating their own family animation.

Wellbeing Warriors – activities to support the emotional, physical and mental wellbeing of your family

Earthy Explorers – step outside and make the most out of being outdoors

Science Sleuths – sparking interest to get families investigating and experimenting this October
