Learn how to support your child’s early years and gain new skills and knowledge. Open to any adult /carer age 19yrs + with a child/ren 0-4yrs.
Who is the course aimed at?
Parents/carers with children aged 0-4years who would like to learn more about their child’s development and how they can support it through play and interaction. It has the following aims:
To provide parents/ carers with a basic knowledge of how their child will grow and develop in the first year.
To raise parents and carers awareness of play, new play ideas and how to use everyday activities and items to support their babies development.
To provide opportunities for interaction between parents/ carers and their child.
To enhance skills and confidence of parents/carers.
Entry Requirements
Open to any adult /carer age 19yrs+, living in Staffordshire with a child/ren 0-4 years

Week 4 Early Communication
Week 5 Creative Play
Week 6 Early maths skills
Week 7 Out and about week
Week 8 Cooking week
Week 9 Bears Week.
Week 10 Themed week.
How you will learn
Courses are delivered face-to-face as group sessions with further information/videos emailed. All course handouts and materials are provided for you.
Learner Support
Group sessions with up to 12 learners.
Learner Assessments
Initial assessment, mid point review and end of course evaluation
Course Materials
All course handouts provided learner will need home access to wifi and a phone/ I.T device in order to receive additional videos and audio notes, although this can be worked around if necessary
What can learner’s do next/progress onto?
On completion of the course you will be able to access other community facilities to support you and your family, other community learning courses of interest to you, volunteering and employment.
Are there any fees?
Fully funded and so there are no fees for this course.
