The course is designed to progress each learner within their current role and opportunities to go further in the business which supports all stakeholders. Working closely with the Client it has enabled us to focus on key areas of development required which will support efficiencies and the understanding of the role for each learner. Who is the course aimed at?
The course is aimed at vulnerable workforce within the warehousing sector who are looking to understand the role and increase their skills in the working environment, support their confidence and opening up opportunities for more responsibility.
Entry requirements
To be in a current role with the company and want to progress with further responsibility, increasing their knowledge and maximising the opportunity to go further within the business.
Course content
Numeracy skills focusing on the key areas of: Inventory Management: Counting, calculating stock levels. Order Fulfilment: Accuracy of picking, weight and volume calculations, space optimisation, shelf stocking. Logistics and Shipping: Estimating delivery times, shipment volumes. Budgeting and Cost Control: Calculating costs, quality control, environmental management, productivity tracking, efficiency ratios.
Learning methods
All delivery is face to face classroom based and will be conducted at their site of work. A mixture of presentation of information/content, group challenges, break out sessions, Q&A and fact finding tasks. This all supports engagement but also various learning styles.
Learning Support
Training room booked throughout the delivery of course. Learner individual support needs to be assessed at the start of the course to address those needs and ensure all learners are able to take part in sessions.
Course assessments
Assess all learners at start using a self assessment rating against the course objectives, learners will also have the opportunity to set personalised goals.
Learning materials
Laptops to present via the TV monitors, paper based learning material, paper based workbooks, pens, markers, training material and activity equipment.
What can learners do next after this course?
Progress onto higher level intervention C or move onto another intervention to support their progress within the business.
