Multiply – Supporting your children with Maths

This one day course is for adults aged 19+ in the Staffordshire area, who wish to build their Maths confidence and knowledge, so they can effectively support their children with numeracy development, including support with homework.

Who is the course aimed at?

For adults aged 19+ living in the Staffordshire area, who wish to build their confidence and knowledge, so they can effectively support their children with numeracy development, including support with homework.

Entry requirements

No formal entry requirements

Course content

Parents will gain an understanding of the maths methods and strategies their children are taught at school, so that they are better prepared to support them with homework tasks. They will also have the opportunity the brush up on their own gaps in knowledge, for example in basic addition, subtraction, multiplication so that they develop the confidence needed to support their children effectively.

Learning methods

Parents will have a face to face session and the opportunity to sign up to Century Tech, enabling them to continue improving their knowledge.

Additional learning support is available and can be arranged as part of the enrolment process.

No formal assessment of learning is included

Learning materials

Learning materials will provided by your teachers during the course.

What can learners do next after this course?

You will be able to progress to one of our community based basic maths skills courses or one of functional skills courses, that will lead to certification and potential progress within the world of work.

This 3 hour course can be delivered at various locations and venues across the Staffordshire area.

This course is fully funded so there are no course fees.
