Fun, bite sized activities with a nature theme, to develop existing numeracy skills and build confidence with shapes, temperatures, weighing and measuring and time.
Who is the course aimed at?
Staffordshire residents aged 19+ who would like to increase their confidence in using numbers and for those who would like to take their first steps towards a numeracy qualification.

Course Content
To introduce you to the four key mathematical symbols and using them (+ – x ÷), Using Temperatures; Weighing and measuring in metric and how to convert from pounds (lb) and ounces (oz); awareness of time and how to read it, both digital and analogue time.
Learning Methods
This course is a face-to-face learning course. The course will also give you the opportunity to develop your digital skills, learn with others and take part in sessions with your tutor. Learning is also supported with an on-line Padlet learning blog.
Learning Support
Your Tutor will support your learning, including help with IT skills to use the course Padlet learning blog. Transport is available from Cannock Leisure Centre and Stafford Sainsbury’s
Course Assessments
At the start of your course, the tutor will find out a little more about you, your previous learning, the support you may need, what you would like to achieve on the course, and guide you to set some personal goals. During the course, you will be asked to reflect on your learning at regular points and will receive feedback from your tutor on your progress and achievement. You will receive a personal certificate of achievement at the end of the course.

At the end of the course you will be provided with information/advice on other learning opportunities/local activities available on-line and in your community. This could include further Multiply courses in Staffordshire which are also signposted through SCC Multiply Course Directory.
