Multiply – Maths Gaps

For learners at SSC, already on vocational programmes, who after IA and DA assessment have significant gaps in their maths knowledge. Some learners may require less than the stated GLH and some may require more.

Who is the course aimed at?

Aimed at improving learners gaps in knowledge so they can excel in their vocational career/course and or increase chances of them gaining a FSQ.

Entry requirements

Staffordshire residents aged 19+ who do not have a Level 2 Maths qualification or equivalent. Individuals who may want to develop numeracy skills for work or progression. Individuals that want to brush up and develop their numeracy skills for everyday life.

Course content

Content will be based on learners gaps in knowledge highlighted by a diagnostic assessment.

Learning methods

Face to face or online learning with a supportive and friendly tutor.

Learning Support

Additional learning support is available and can be arranged as part of the enrolment process.

Course assessments

No formal assessment of learning is included other than supportive input from your teacher and a self-reflection at the end, measuring your confidence in the covered topics.

Learning materials

Learning materials will provided by your teachers during the course.

What can learners do next after this course?

You will be able to progress onto one of our community based basic maths skills courses or one of our functional skills courses, that will lead to certification and potential progress within the world of work.

Face to face:

Cannock College, The Green, Cannock WS11 1UE x 2 sessions

Lichfield College, The Friary, Lichfield, Ws13 6QG x 1 session

Tamworth College, Croft St, Tamworth B79 8AE x 3 sessions

Are there any fees?

This course is fully funded so there are no course fees.

Who delivers this course?

All of our courses are delivered by expert local learning partners across Staffordshire.  This specific course is delivered by South Staffordshire College.
