This comprehensive 12 hour course combines online attendance and independent study to equip parents with skills, knowledge and mind-set needed to support their child’s success in their GCSE Maths November Resit.
Who is the course aimed at?
The course is aimed at Staffordshire residents aged 19+ who would like to improve their maths ability.

There are no formal entry requirements.
Course content
This course is designed for parents, to best support their child resitting GCSE Maths. Consisting of 4 x 1 hour online tutorial and 8 hours of independent study with your child on our state of the art platform. The course will refresh your knowledge and instil mental tools and strategies necessary for success. Combining maths academic skill-building with mind-set coaching and exam preparation, to equip you and your child’s confidence and resilience in maths.
Learning methods
You will be taught online with a friendly and supportive teacher. You will be sent a link via email prior to the course.
Learning Support
During the session you will complete an informal maths activity to help the teacher understand your numeracy needs.
Course assessments
There is no formal assessment on the course, you will complete a Learning Plan to support your progress.
Learning materials
You will require a pen and writing pad to support note taking during the course. Classes are small to ensure your teacher can provide you with the help and support you need to enable your to confidently access the class learning materials. Individual specific needs will be discussed at the start of the course.
What can learners do next after this course?
During the session you and your teacher will explore progression options depending on your individual needs. There will be the opportunity to progress onto further Multiply courses and Functional Skills Maths.
