An introductory course to gain an understanding of accounting practices and principles, payroll, tax and bookkeeping.
Who is the course aimed at?
Staffordshire residents aged 19+ who are looking at switching careers or looking at a career in accounting. It would benefit those who are looking at understanding basic accounting principles, payroll, tax and bookkeeping.

There are no formal entry requirements.
Course content
Gain an understanding of accounting practices and principles, payroll, tax and bookkeeping.
Learning methods
You will be taught Face to Face in the workplace by a friendly and experienced assessor.
Learning Support
Classes are small to ensure your teacher can provide you with the help and support you need to enable you to confidently access the class learning materials. Individual specific needs will be discussed at the start of the course.
Course assessments
To ensure you are on track and have understanding of the course, your teacher will use verbal questions, observations and an individual learning plan to monitor your progress against the course outcomes.
Learning materials
We will provide the workbooks you will need to bring a pen and paper to take notes and to be able to complete the workbooks during the course.
What can learners do next after this course?
This can lead onto the Level Two AAT professional Qualification.
