This introduction course to Health and Wellbeing will explore how to maintain a healthy lifestyle, what heathy habits can we embed into our lives. We will also explore how we recognise and manage stress.
Who is the course aimed at?
Those interested in developing their understanidng of wellbeing. Learners will gain skills to build resilience and a positive mindset.
Entry requirements
An individual aged nineteen (19) or over on 31st August within the Contract Period, residing within the eight (8) Staffordshire districts. All target groups, and specifically: parents, carers and guardians who wish to develop their skills, and new adult Learners.
Course content
You will learn to identify healthy and unhealthy habits and understand the impact of unhealthy habits. You will also understand the triggers for stress and how to manage times of stress by adopting positive habits.
Learning methods
The trainer will deliver the course in a friendly and welcoming classroom environment. You will have the opportunity to work independently and with your peers in a range of activities and discussions.
Learning Support
All sessions are adapted according to the individual needs of learner. Accessibility: Newcastle: Inaccessible for those with limited mobility. Burton: Ground floor fully accessible. Biddulph: Lift available fully accessible. English and Maths initial assessments are carried out prior to the start of the course.
Course assessments
Learners will be initially assessed to identify their starting points, personal goals and recognise any support needs. During the course learners will be assessed via informal feedback on work produced, verbal feedback during discussions & Q & A. Learners will also take part in reviews consistent with the length of the course.

Learner will be provided with all course materials as part of the programme.

Throughout your course you will be provided with information and advice about other learning opportunities available. We have a range of opportunities for you to progress onto based on your needs and aspirations. Progression could include a Level 1 Personal Development for Employability.
