A course using fresh flowers and natural flora to create industry standard floristry pieces.
Who is the course aimed at?
Staffordshire residents aged 19+ recovering from poor mental health, typically anxiety and depression
Entry Requirements
We don’t have any formal entry requirements apart from the ability to fill in a basic enrolment form and be physically mobile to harvest and collect fauna and flora
Course Content
A wide variety of activities including plant science, growth and plant husbandry. Wider skills development will support those learners who aspire to work in the horticulture sector. Self employment opportunities.
Learning Methods
A wide range of methods including discussions, IT for research, group practicals, florist tasks.
Learner Support
From the start we will work with you to identify what support you may need. This may be reading, writing or practical skills. We also offer IT support if you need a little assistance in getting more out of your computer, phone or tablet. The staff and volunteers are all there to support you.

Ongoing feedback from tutors and assessing task completion and development

All course materials are provided free of charge.
What can learners do next/progress onto?
Throughout your course you will be provided with information and advice about other learning available for you. They may progress onto a further course (with different and more advanced outcomes). There may be opportunities for future volunteer training, access to other internal and external courses, accredited and non credited. During the course we will explore self employment and support learners where needed.
