Have you completed the Entry Level 2 Writing course and want to progress? The Ascentis Entry Level 3 ESOL Writing course is designed for learners who have basic English writing skills and want to improve.
Who is the course aimed at?
This course is for adult learners that want to continue improving their writing abilities, including grammar, punctuation, and spelling. The course is designed for learners who have a good foundation in English writing and wish to further enhance their skills. This course focuses on developing more advanced writing techniques and improving overall writing proficiency.
Entry requirements
Learners must have completed a Entry Level 2 Writing course.
Course Content
This course includes more complex grammar structures to improve writing accuracy. You will master the use of punctuation marks and ensure spelling accuracy in more complex texts. On completion of this course, you will be able to apply advanced writing skills to real-world scenarios, enhancing communication for academic, professional, and personal purposes.
Learning Methods
Teaching will include tutor led sessions in small groups, 1:1 tuition, tutor demonstration, quizzes, and practical exercises. You will work at your own pace and will complete the activities using your device or the library computer. You learning progress will be recorded.
Learner Support
Your tutor will support you throughout your learning journey. Your tutor will get to know you and what you want to achieve from the course and include this in the delivery of sessions. You will also have the opportunity to have some one-to-one time with your tutor.
Course Assessment
Upon successful completion of exams, students will receive the Ascentis Entry Level 3 Award in ESOL Skills for Life.
Learning materials
On enrolment you will need to provide proof of ID (passport, national ID card, driver’s licence) and proof of eligibility. For the course you will need a pen, a note pad and a documents folder. For homework you will need an internet connected device, either a PC, a laptop, an iPad, tablet or smart phone – you could do this at your local library.
What can learners do next/progress onto?
You will have the opportunity to complete another Entry Level Skills for Life qualification.
