Explore the joy of creativity through inspiration from nature. Over the four weeks, you will develop a tool-kit of creative, nature-based activities, exercises and ideas to support stress reduction through boosting creativity.

Staffordshire residents aged 19+ who are interested in exploring creative ways to support health and wellbeing

Course Content
This gentle, creative, approach to connecting with nature, offers flexibility and understanding for each learners starting point. We guide the group through a variety of exercises and ideas to deepen a connection to the world around us; this ranges from creative writing exercises, to foraged art, to natural weaving. Each week we also introduce research to show how and why nature can support our wellbeing.
Learning Methods
This online course is held over 4 weeks. We provide you with engaging learning material through themed weekly email packs and access to digital resources. These can be explored in your own time. Where possible we encourage you to go outdoors as part of the course. This can be in a garden, park or local woodland.
Learning Support
Your tutor will guide this course and provide expert support wherever needed. We offer choice and flexibility to provide a quality learning experience. We can work together to ensure the course is accessible and works for you. We offer a personal approach to our courses and are on hand to help and support throughout. Through WhatsApp groups and online platforms, we encourage learners to help each other, to create a supportive online learning environment.
Course Assessment
There are no formal assessments as part of this course. We ask for weekly feedback to encourage regular reflection. There are two compulsory final feedback forms to complete at the end of the course.
Learning Materials
We provide you with engaging learning material through themed weekly email packs and access to digital resources. You can try the activities and explore the resources in your own time. At the very start of the course we provide a ‘resource’ list. Each week there might be a few things you need to try the ideas, however we encourge you to reuse, recycle, adapt or borrow, before buying anything new!
What can learners do next/progress onto?
Many learners move onto other Community Learning courses. We also sign-post to specific groups and courses linked with the creative practices we introduce, to further develop skills, knowledge and local connections. We provide ideas for next steps throughout the course tailored to individual interests and aspirations too.
Dates and times

Weekly email packs are sent at around 10.00am each Thursday. These can be completed flexibly throughout the week.
