This course will explore maths relevant to the workplace. Looking at how businesses need to be aware of income and expenditure to be sustainable.
Who is the course aimed at?
For people wishing to develop their numeracy skills and working towards gaining employment.
Entry Requirements
Staffordshire residents aged 19+ who are recovering from mental ill health who have not already got a Maths Level 2 qualification.
Course Content
Using basic maths the courses will be looking at finance skills for the workplace. Costings, pricing,calculating the break even points and cost of overheads. A course may include seasonal enterprise projects and other maths related activities.
Learning Methods
Face to face learning with small groups
Learner Support
From the start we will work with you to identify what support you may need. This may be reading, writing or practical skills. The staff and volunteers are all there to support you. An initial assessment is carried out to identify any specific needs, You will then be offered a course that meets these requirements.
Learner Assessments
Ongoing feedback from tutors and assessing task completion and development through observations. Tutor reviews and feedback. Every participant has any individual learning plan.
Course Materials
All course materials are provided free of charge.
What can learners do next/progress onto?
Learners may progress onto other Multiply maths courses or community learning courses to meet the needs of the individual.
