Do you want to be able to get the most out your mobile devices? The course explores connecting to the digital the world. You will improve your skills in accessing online services such as messaging, email and various apps.
Who is the course aimed at?
The course is aimed to help learners to develop their IT & Digital skills to help learners feel more connected with the world around them. Learners of any IT level are welcomed to help them develop their digital connectivity skills.
Entry requirements
An individual aged nineteen (19) or over on 31st August within the Contract Period, residing within the eight (8) Staffordshire districts. All target groups, and specifically: parents, carers and guardians who wish to develop their skills, and new adult Learners.
Course content
In these friendly sessions you will learn how to use your mobile/ iPad/laptop more effectively. You will learn the basics to get the most out of your device from basic messaging, video calling and popular ‘Apps’.
Learning methods
The trainer will deliver the course in a friendly and welcoming classroom environment. You will have the opportunity to work independently and with your peers in a range of activities and discussions.
Learning Support
All sessions are adapted according to the individual needs of learner. Accessibility: Newcastle: Inaccessible for those with limited mobility. Burton: Ground floor fully accessible. Biddulph: Lift available fully accessible. English and Maths initial assessments are carried out prior to the start of the course. Our dedicated enrolment and support team are also available from 08.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday via our enrolment office number as well as via email and enabled chat facilities.
Course assessments
Learners will be initially assessed to identify their starting points, personal goals and recognise any support needs. During the course learners will be assessed via informal feedback on work produced, verbal feedback during discussions & Q & A. Learners will also take part in reviews consistent with the length of the course.

Learner will be provided with all course materials as part of the programme.
