Learning Methods
This is a face-to-face learning course with a ‘learning at home’ element – you will complete 4 hours face to face at CARE plus one hour home learning per week. The course will provide an opportunity to develop your digital skills further, socialise with others in the learning environment. Learning is also supported with an on-line Padlet learning blog.
Learning Support
Your Tutor will support your learning, including help with IT skills to photograph and record your work. Transport is available from Cannock Leisure Centre, Stafford Sainsbury’s and The Royal Oak car park at Rising Brook.
Course Assessment
At the start of your course the tutor will find out a little more about you, your previous learning, the support you may need, what you would like to achieve on the course and guide you to set some personal goals. During the course you will be asked to reflect on your learning at regular points and will receive feedback from your tutor on your progress and achievement. You will receive a personal certificate of achievement at the end of the course.
Learning Materials
CARE will provide resources and equipment you will need to take part in the course. It would be helpful if you have a smart phone or tablet device and access to the internet for learning at home, but this is not essential. You may like to provide some foraged or upcycled resources of your own
What can learners do next/progress onto?
At the end of the course you will be provided with information/advice on other learning opportunities/local activities available on-line and in your community.
