The course is a series of supportive sessions, to develop your own numeracy skills and understanding which will help you to become more confident with maths, with two hours independent study.
Who is the course aimed at?
The course is aimed at Staffordshire residents aged 19+ who would like to improve their maths ability.

There are no formal entry requirements.
Course content
In this course, you will learn to measure accurately, perform multiplications for budgeting and shopping, and tackle everyday tasks with confidence. You will develop digital skills, such as using spreadsheets for budgeting, navigating online resources, and understanding digital tools that make daily tasks easier. Engaging activities and practical applications will ensure the learning process is enjoyable and relevant. This is a blended learning approach with two hours per week independent study.
Learning methods
You will be taught Face to Face by a friendly and supportive teacher
Learning Support
Individual specific needs will be discussed at the start of the course. Classes are small to ensure your teacher can provide you with the help and support you need to enable you to confidently access the class learning materials.
Course assessments
During the session you will complete an informal maths activity to help the teacher understand your numeracy needs. There is no formal assessment on the course, you will complete a Learning Plan to support your progress.
Learning materials
You will require a pen and writing pad to support note taking during the course.
What can learners do next after this course?
During the session you and your teacher will explore progression options depending on your individual needs. There will be the opportunity to progress onto further Multiply courses and Functional Skills Maths.
